Aloe is a wonderful moisturizer, it improves blood circulation, has anti-inflammatory effects, eliminates irritation and stimulates the regeneration of skin cells.

In addition, aloe preparations have a cleansing and refreshing effect. In cosmetics, aloe provides versatile care for all skin types: moisturizes dry and normal skin, softens and protects it, soothes sensitive, removes tension, but also increases the elasticity of withered skin and revives it. It also cleanses oily and problematic, deodorizes, removes inflammation, treats acne.

Masks that contain aloe juice moisturize the skin, soften it, tone it and have anti-inflammatory effects.

Preparations derived from biostimulated leaf juice have particularly valuable properties. To obtain such a juice, the plant is not watered for 2 weeks and this increases the concentration of nutrients in it.

After two weeks, the most fleshy lower leaves are cut off, rinsed with boiled water and placed in a dark and cool place (for example in the lower part of the refrigerator) at a temperature of 4-8 ° C for a few days (usually 10-12).

Under these conditions, they ferment and form special substances - biological stimulants that stimulate the attenuating function of cells and thus prevent the formation of wrinkles.

Aloe leaf juice prepared in this way also contains biostimulants. Fermented leaves or juice have a tonic, refreshing, soothing and softening effect on the skin, accelerate its regeneration and the formation of new cells, are suitable for all skin types, including dilated capillaries.

Cleopatra's cream

Cleopatra's aloe vera cream (46 BC) was very popular in Rome. Today it is used in Sicily and North Africa. This wonderful cosmetic cleanses the skin, tightens the pores, protects from adverse weather conditions and soothes.

How to prepare it at home?

Thoroughly mix 5 g of aloe powder in 40 ml of distilled water (do not form lumps) and add rose water and honey (doses are not specified). Put the resulting mixture on a water bath. Gradually add 20 g of fresh lard. Be careful not to heat the mixture too much.

After about 10-15 minutes, transfer the finished cream to a clean jar with a lid and store it in the refrigerator. Apply the cream once a day on cleansed skin of the face, neck and hands. It works well in weathering and sunburn.

If desired, you can replace aloe powder with pulp from its leaves, pre-grind it with a silver or wooden spoon (avoid contact with other metal).
