- Indigo powder from Indigofera Tinctoria
- In combination with henna for coloring the hair in dark colors
- Does not contain chemicals
Applied in itself, Indigo will give the hair bluish-green shades. Mixed with henna, this plant dyes hair in auburn (depending on proportions and initial color: more indigo = darker color and less reddish tones). Applied to the hair after henna, the indigo painted in shiny black. It can be used as often as you want.
Ingredients:
Indigofera Tinctoria Extract.
Usage:
For brown hair: one-step henna + indigo
First mix the henna paste and allow to release dye for 2-12 hours. When it is ready, mix in a separate bowl indigo powder with warm water; allow to rest for 10-15 minutes, no more. Mix henna and indigo pastes together and stir well; add a bit of water if necessary to achieve the consistency of yogurt. Apply to dry or damp hair, completely covering the hair. Wrap in nylon wrap and towel and leave on for 2-6 hours. Wash out with shampoo or just hair balm.
For black or very dark brown hair - two steps:
Apply henna paste first as a base. After a few hours rinse and towel-dry hair. Mix indigo with lukewarm water, and for darker colour add 1 tsp salt to 100g indigo powder. Apply immediately to hair, covering the length thoroughly. Use old towels and gloves! Wrap the hair in plastic wrap and towel and leave on for 1-2 hours; rinse well.
