Lutein is a substance with a carotenoid structure that resembles beta-carotenoids, which is synthesized in many green plants such as spinach, kale and curly cabbage, but is not produced in the body, so its external intake is required.

Lutein has potent antioxidant properties and is mainly metabolised in the eyes - it helps macular function in permanent degeneration due to old age, improves visual presentation and reduces the sensitivity of the eyes to light. Lutein also has a beneficial effect on photophobia (abnormal sensitivity to optical light), protects the lipid membranes from oxidative stress during high radiation and UV radiation.

Suggested Use:

As a dietary supplement, take one capsule a day with food.
