Aronia is famous for its anti-sclerotic, capillary, anti-inflammatory, temperature-lowering and hypotensive effects.

Aronia fruits contain sugars, organic acids, vitamin C, beta-carotene, folic acid, riboflavin, tocopherol, mineral salts, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, manganese, copper, zinc, iodine. And also amino acids: arginine, tyrosine, histidine and lysine, alpha-alanine, cystine, aspartic acid and serine, glutamic acid and threonine.

It is best to consume fresh fruits and then the juices, compotes, jams and wines, advised the Bulgarian herbalist Vasil Kaniskov.

Aronia juice has a beneficial effect on high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, capillarotoxicosis, kidney disease, gastritis with low acidity.

At home, in the case of hypertension, fresh aronia juice is recommended - 1/2 cup daily, to be taken for 14 days.

Aronia fruits are already ripe by the end of August and the beginning of September.
