The caloric value of the food is within physiological limits: proteins - 90-100 g, fats - 100 g, carbohydrates - 350-400 g. Food should be varied and rich in vitamins and mineral salts.

The selection of food products depends on the constipation:

in case of atonic constipation (reduced peristalsis and lazy intestines), food rich in cellulose and ballast substances is recommended, such as vegetables and fruits with coarser cellulose, whole grain bread, fermented drinks, etc. Larger amounts of fat and concentrated carbohydrates are included in the diet.

In a spastic form of constipation, take food without coarse cellulose and irritating substances. The daily menu includes more fats and concentrated carbohydrates (sweets, jams, honey, etc.), as well as fermented drinks.

Eggs act individually in both types of constipation.

It is advisable to take larger amounts of liquids - up to 1.5 liters per day.

In the morning on an empty stomach, we recommend cold - in case of atonic constipation - sweet drinks, fresh vegetable juices (from potatoes, cabbage), decoction of prunes, apricots, water with honey or rose jam, vegetable and fruit salads, etc.

It is desirable to take slightly fermented drinks before sleep. In some patients, a good effect is also obtained from cold sweetened fresh milk.

Atonic constipation:

Allowed: all kinds, including ice cream. Only the pickled cheese and yellow cheese are in limited quantity.

2. Meat, poultry, fish and eggs
Allowed: all types.

Not recommended: rice, breadcrumbs, toast.

Allowed: fresh butter, cream, sunflower oil, olive oil, lard, bacon, mayonnaise.

Allowed: linden tea, St. John's wort, chamomile, herbs, chicory coffee, sodas, beer, etc.

Not recommended: hot red pepper, horseradish.

Allowed: rosehip decoction, linden tea, St. John's wort, chamomile, herbs, Inca coffee, sodas, beer, etc.
Not recommended: strong black tea, cocoa.

Dishes are prepared by boiling, grilling, stewing. Breaded and fried foods, as well as frying foods, are excluded.

Food should be taken 4-5 times a day, and the temperature should be as low as possible.

Periodically (once a week or 2-3 days in a row) include fruit and vegetable days in the menu.
