Red Elm Syrup by "EkoMedica" is a liquid food supplement combining red/slippery elm bark extract (Ulmus rubra), cinnamon powder and pasteurised prune juice made from concentrate. The formula has been developed as a convenient way to consume plant-based ingredients in liquid form, with a pleasant taste and easy dosing.

What is Red Elm?

Red elm (Ulmus rubra) is a tree species native to North America. Its bark is known for its natural content of mucilaginous substances, which swell when they come into contact with water and form a dense, gel-like consistency.

This property is the basis of the traditional use of red elm bark. The mucilaginous substances give the raw material its characteristic texture and are the reason it has traditionally been used in various herbal preparations and beverages.

Red Elm, Cinnamon and Prunes in One Formula

The "EkoMedica" formula combines three plant-based ingredients with different characteristics:

• Red Elm (Ulmus rubra) - the formula contains a 4:1 extract from the bark of the plant. Red elm is known for its natural content of mucilaginous substances.
• Cinnamon - an aromatic spice with a long history of use in traditional food and herbal preparations. It provides a characteristic warm aroma and flavour.
• Prunes - used as a base in the form of pasteurised prune juice made from concentrate, providing the product with a naturally fruity and slightly tart taste and a pleasant consistency.

What is Characteristic of Red Elm?

Red elm bark contains mucilaginous polysaccharides which swell when water is added and form a gel-like mass. This characteristic is typical of the plant material and is the basis of its traditional use.

It is this natural mucilaginous structure that distinguishes red elm from many other plant ingredients. In traditional use, preparations made from the bark are consumed as part of maintaining normal digestive comfort.

Cinnamon - an Aromatic Part of the Formula:

Cinnamon is one of the world's most popular aromatic spices. In addition to its characteristic sweet and warming aroma, it has traditionally been associated with food and digestion.

In Red Elm Syrup, cinnamon complements the plant-based formula and contributes to the product's pleasant taste and aroma.

Prunes for a Pleasant Taste:

The base of the product is pasteurised prune juice made from concentrate. It gives the formula its characteristic fruity taste and makes the liquid supplement pleasant to consume.

Prunes have traditionally been part of the human diet as a fruit containing a variety of naturally occurring plant compounds. In this product, they are primarily used as the fruit base of the syrup.

Convenient Liquid Form:

The liquid form allows easy dosing of the product - the recommended daily dose is 20 ml. Shake the bottle well before use.

Due to the presence of plant-based ingredients, natural sediment may form at the bottom of the bottle. This is normal for the product and is why shaking it before use is important.

Supports the normal function of the gastrointestinal tract and the digestive system.

Ingredients:

Pasteurised prune juice made from concentrate 96.7%, red/slippery elm bark, cinnamon powder, acidity regulator: citric acid.

May contain traces of milk, wheat, eggs, peanuts, nuts, soy and fish.

Composition of the Recommended Daily Dose:

• Red/slippery elm (Ulmus rubra) bark extract 4:1 - 500 mg
• Cinnamon powder (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) - 130 mg

Directions for Use:

Take 20 ml daily. Shake before use. Store in the refrigerator after opening.

Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. The product should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. For adults only; not suitable for children. Consult your doctor if you suffer from a medical condition, take medication, are breastfeeding or pregnant. Keep out of reach of young children.
