The ready mix for Lebanese Felafel is distinguished by the addition of fava beans. Fava Beans, also known as black bean, is one of the oldest cultivated foods known to mankind. Traces of it were found in caves and near settlements as early as 5,000 BC. It is most common in the Mediterranean basin - Greece, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Algeria. Fava Bean also has a culinary tradition in Latin America, where it is loved fried and salted.

Fava Beans is a good source of potassium, iron, folate, antioxidants and dietary fiber.

Method of preparation:

Add 200 ml of water to 250 g of falafel mix. Mix and let stand for 30 min. Make small balls from the finished mixture. The shaped falafels are fried until golden or baked in a preheated oven at 180-200C until cooked.
