Medicine has been paying attention to the marsh warbler since the early 19th century, when salicylates were extracted from it. An interesting fact is that the name of aspirin comes from the word spiraea, which is the old name of the Meadowsweet.
The herb has anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic and diuretic effects, is used in articular forms of rheumatism, fluid retention and inflammation of the urinary tract.
