Tea - Kidney is a herbal combination of bearberry, smooth rupturewort, horsetail, restharrow, birch, corn silk and fig.
Bearberry leaves have a beneficial effect on the kidneys and urinary tract. Bearberry soothes pain and helps expel grit from the urinary tract. It also serves to disinfect the urinary tract in chronic cystitis. The main action of bearberry is uroantiseptic, which is due to the contained arbutin and methylarbutin.
The herb has a diuretic, pain-relieving, antispasmodic effect. The healing effect is due to flavonoids, saponins and essential oil. Smooth rupturewort is used as a means of stimulating diuresis, and also as a means of removing painful spasms of the smooth muscles.
The herb supports the healing processes of the connective tissue, epidermis and mucous membranes, strengthens the body's defenses. Horsetail has a beneficial effect on diseases of the genitourinary system.
Restharrow has a diuretic and anti-inflammatory effect. Folk medicine uses the plant for swelling, stones and sand in the kidneys and bladder, for chronic inflammation of the urinary tract, rheumatism, gout.
White birch leaves have a strong dehydrating effect (diuretic and diaphoretic). The herb has a beneficial effect on the destruction of kidney stones. Soothes smooth muscle spasms. This effect is due to the flavonoids contained in the leaves of the plant, and the contained potassium nitrate enhances the diuretic effect of the flavonoids.
The herb acts as a hemostatic, choleretic and diuretic agent in kidney stone disease, cystitis, biliary dyskeniasis, inflammations and calculi, gynecological hemorrhages, atherosclerosis, etc.
Fig leaves contain furanocoumarins, tannins and resinous substances, organic acids, rutin, vitamin C and essential oils. This herb is an anti-inflammatory agent that is traditionally used for inflammations in the respiratory system, intestines and kidneys.
