Zdravnitza Flaxseed Oil is a high-quality, natural product extracted through a gentle cold-pressing technology. This method ensures the preservation of the full spectrum of valuable nutrients, vitamins, and enzymes, making flaxseed oil invaluable for human health.
The product is an excellent, entirely plant-based source of the essential fatty acids Omega-3 and Omega-6, which are critical for the proper functioning of the body.
Omega-3 (Alpha-linolenic acid - ALA)
Zdravnitza's flaxseed oil contains over 50% Omega-3 fatty acids. Alpha-linolenic acid is essential because the body cannot synthesize it on its own. It is key to normal growth and development. ALA is widely researched for its role in preventing cardiovascular diseases, lowering cholesterol, and relieving inflammatory processes in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and ulcerative colitis.
Omega-6 (Linoleic acid)
The oil also provides about 15% Omega-6 fatty acids. Linoleic acid is an important structural component of cells, affecting the flexibility and permeability of cell membranes. Its intake supports heart health, aids brain function, and cares for bone density.
Flaxseed oil has an exceptionally broad spectrum of action, thanks to the synergy between Omega-3, Omega-6, and the powerful antioxidants in its composition:
Flaxseed oil is an elixir for the skin. It helps regenerate skin cells and restores the natural hydrolipid balance. Thanks to its high content of vitamins A and E, it effectively fights premature aging and smooths fine lines.
Flaxseed oil is a powerful ally in treating acne - the phytoestrogens (lignans) it contains help balance the enzymes responsible for sebum overproduction. It accelerates healing in cases of sunburn and irritation.
100% pure, cold-pressed flaxseed oil (Linum usitatissimum).

What is the difference between flaxseed and fish oil?
Flaxseed oil is a 100% plant-based (vegan) source of Omega-3 (in the form of ALA), while fish oil contains EPA and DHA. Flaxseed oil is ideal for people who avoid animal products, have a fish allergy, or cannot tolerate the specific fishy taste.
What does flaxseed oil taste like?
High-quality, cold-pressed flaxseed oil has a mild, slightly nutty, and specific taste. If the oil has a strongly bitter or unpleasant taste, this is a sign that it has gone rancid and should not be consumed.
Can I cook with flaxseed oil?
No. Flaxseed oil is extremely sensitive to heat. Heat treatment destroys the valuable Omega-3 fatty acids. Add it only to cold dishes or after the food has completely cooled down.
How should flaxseed oil be stored?
To prevent oxidation, store the bottle in a dark and cool place. After opening, it is highly recommended to keep it in the refrigerator and consume it within 4 to 6 weeks.
Can it be taken on an empty stomach?
Yes, taking it on an empty stomach (for example, in the morning) is often recommended for better absorption and to stimulate digestion. However, if you have a sensitive stomach, you can also take it with food.
