The Bulgarian Clay (from the Latin name: "humus", in Bulgarian - Huma) is a kind of whitish oily clay, widely used as a cosmetic and hygienic means.
The Clay is made up of many ready-made skin and hair cosmetics, but also sold separately (fine powder) for home preparation. It is usually mixed with water, yoghurt, yolk, honey or lemon juice. Masks with clay are especially recommended for oily or wrinkled skin, and greasy hair adds luster and volume. The clay is a tried and tested remedy for tranquilised skin in babies. It is also used to make hair masks - mixed with olive oil.
The clay is applied externally like compresses, paws and ointments and internally as a drinking solution, gargle and flush.
Bulgarian white clay is the finest of all clays. It is rich in zinc, magnesium and micronutrients. As we know, zinc is a chemical element with an extremely important role in the health and maintenance of good looks.
