Lemon balm is a perennial herbaceous plant with a pleasant lemon smell. The stem is four-armed, branched, 30-80 cm high, covered with glands and simple hairs. The colors are pale yellow, white or pink. The leaves are opposite, with handles, broadly ovate rhombic or oblong. The fruit is made up of 4 single-eyed walnuts. Blooms June to September.
