Perennial herbaceous plant with straight or at the base lying, branched and hairy stems, 15-30 cm tall.

The rhizome is usually short and thick, dark brown on the outside and red on the inside, with a characteristic dark radiant formation when cut. The leaves are sessile (stem) or with short stalks (in the main), trifoliate and coarsely toothed, with large stipules. The flowers are arranged singly in the axils of the leaves, with long stalks. They are yellow, with a double 4-leafed calyx, 4-leafed corolla and numerous stamens. The fruit is a wrinkled dry nut with numerous seeds.

It grows in wet meadows, swamps and peatlands, but also in rocky places in the foothills and mountain belt of all mountains in Bulgaria.

Application: as an aid in gastrointestinal changes, diabetes, irregular menstruation, etc.

Method of preparation: 1 tablespoon of the herb is boiled for 3 minutes in 500 ml of water. Strain and drink in 3 equal portions the day before meals.
