Raspberry
Rubus idaeus L.
A semi-shrub reaching a height of 1-1.5 m. The leaves are triple or pinnate with 5-7 leaflets, green above, and silvery gray below. The flowers are white with long stems. The fruit is aggregated, consisting of numerous red drupe fruits. It blooms in May-July, and the fruits ripen in July-August.
It grows in forests and thickets from the plains to the high parts of the mountains throughout Bulgaria.
Folk medicine uses raspberry leaves for gastrointestinal diseases, catarrh, diarrhea, stomach and intestinal colic. Externally for gargling in inflammatory processes in the oral cavity, and toothache.

Application: as an aid in colds, gastrointestinal inflammations, hypertension, and atherosclerosis.
Method of preparation: add 2 tablespoons of the herb to boiling water and boil for 3 minutes. Soak for 30 minutes. Strain and take three equal parts during the day before meals.
