Gypsyweed

Gypsyweed is a perennial herbaceous plant with a creeping or raised stem, up to 30 cm high. The leaves are elliptical or back ovate, jagged, hairy, with a short handle. The flowers are pale blue, harvested in racemose inflorescences, with a 4-leaf cup. Blooms in spring and early summer.
It is found in the bushes and forests all over Bulgaria. It loves moist soils.
Gypsyweed contains essential oil, glycosides, saponins, organic acids, tannins, bitter substances, traces of alkaloids, vitamin C, provitamin A and others.

Application: as an aid in chronic bronchitis, urological dysfunctions, prostatitis, liver changes, etc.
Method of preparation: Boil 1 tablespoon of the herb in 500 ml of hot water for 3 minutes. Strain and drink in 3 equal portions the day before meals.
