In literal translation, Chlorella means "little, green leaf". The plant was discovered at the end of the 19th century by the Holland biologist Beijernck. Chlorella is a prehistoric, unicellular algae rich in chlorophyll and phytonutrients. The green plant is an excellent source of natural protein, containing all the necessary amino acids.
The spirulina is a blue-green, spiral, salt-water algae that has been used as a source of phytonutrients for millennia. With up to 70% protein content of protein, spirulina is the food with the highest protein content. The spirulina contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, E and K. Furthermore, minerals, trace elements, cell salts, phytonutrients and enzymes, chlorophyll and other pigments are included in the spirulina composition.
