Gleditsia triacanthos L.
Honey locust is a tree reaching up to 20 m, with simple or branched, sharp, red-brown spikes up to 10 cm long.
The leaves are feathery or bifocal, 20-30 cm long.
The flowers are yellow-green, gathered in concise grape-like inflorescences, located in the bosom of the leaves.
The fruit is sickle-shaped or longitudinally twisted beans, 30-45 cm long and 34 cm wide, brown, shiny, multi-seeded. It blooms in June, and the fruits ripen October September.
Is often cultivated as a decorative and anti-erosion tree throughout the country. Originates from North America.
Honey locust - dried fruit
It can be used for: colic, ulcerative disease, colitis, bronchial asthma, spasms of bile and urinary tract, etc.
Method of preparation: Pour one tablespoon of dried fruit with one cup of boiling water. Let the potion boil for 30 minutes. Once it has cooled down, water is drained and water is added so that the water content becomes one cup again. Drink 1 tablespoon 4 to 5 times a day.
