Perennial gray-green to silvery-gray, fibrous herbaceous plant. The stems are straight or ascending, up to 30 cm tall, branched only in the area of inflorescences. The leaves are consecutive, sessile, linear-lanceolate, 2-6 cm long, entire, pointed. The flower baskets are globose, 5-6 mm in diameter, with a lemon-yellow to golden-yellow shell of dry, shiny, tile-like leaves. All flowers are tubular, orange. Blooms June - September.

Flower baskets (Inflorescentia Helichrysi arenarii, Flores Helichrysi arenarii, Flores Stoechados citrini) are used.

It is found in sandy, stony and grassy places along the Black Sea coast - Varna, Burgas, Nessebar, Kamchia; in southeastern Bulgaria - Plovdiv, Shumen, as well as in Kyustendil.

Bulgarian folk medicine recommends Immortelle for diseases of the liver, bile ducts and urinary system, inflammation of the kidneys and bladder, rheumatism, neuralgia, impotence, sciatica, low blood pressure, some skin diseases and more.

Method of preparation: Put 2 teaspoons of the herb in 500 ml of hot water and leave for 15 minutes. Strain and drink in 3 equal parts the day before meals.
