Motherwort is a perennial herb, 50-120 cm high, straight, four-legged, longitudinally grooved, hollow and lined with a stem. The leaves are long, bare and covered with hairs.

It is found in the fields, on the grassy places and along the yards all over Bulgaria.

The overhead part of the plant is used.

Application: as an aid in cardiac neurosis, insomnia, hypertension, cardiosclerosis, etc.

Method of preparation: 1 tablespoon of the herb is poured with 500 ml of hot water and left for 1 hour. Strain and drink in 3 equal portions the day before meals.
