Perennial herb or semi-shrub with creeping or stagnant stems and ascending flowering branches up to 20 cm high. The flowers are pink, purple or white, clustered in inflorescences. The cups and the wreath are two-mouth. Blooms in June-September.

There are a large number of species and forms that are difficult to distinguish. About 15 species are distributed in Bulgaria. They meet on grassy and rocky hot spots in the forest meadows and pastures, and rarely in the meadows all over the country. They are most widely distributed in the foothills and mid-high parts of the mountain.

Application: an aid in cough, bronchitis, bronchial asthma and others.

Method of preparation: pour 1 teaspoon of the chopped herb with 200ml of boiling water. Once the decoction is cool, filter and drink three times a day.
