Wasabi powder is produced solely by grinding the powdered roots of Wasabi Japonica (Eutrema japonica). The plant is also known as "Japanese horseradish".
Wasabi is a type of plant from the cruciferous family (Brassicaceae), the only representative of the genus Eutrema. The plant is found growing wild along the mountain river valleys of Japan.
Most often, Wasabi is used as a seasoning for sushi. Unlike sauces that are based on chili extract, horseradish or mustard, the spicy effect of wasabi is extremely strong.
Wasabi is one of the most difficult crops to grow in the world. Also called Japanese horseradish, this species is closely adapted to living conditions in the mountain streams of Central Japan. In North America, there are significantly fewer wasabi companies, and in the UK there is only one grower.

1. Mix equal amounts of Wasabi powder and water.
2. Stir vigorously until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
3. Cover the container in which you prepared the wasabi and wait 10 minutes. This way, the taste qualities of the real wasabi are activated.
