Fenugreek is an annual plant known for the spice that is made from its seeds. The stem is hollow and reaches a height of 30 to 60 cm. Fruits are pods of 10-15 cm in length and contain 10-20 seeds. Fenugreek is well known as a commonly used ingredient in the spice mix "colorful salt" used in Bulgaria and other Balkan countries.

Cultivated in gardens as a spice and decorative plant. Originates from Southeast Asia.

Stalks and seeds are used.

Application: as an aid in diabetes, hemorrhoids, sexual weakness, spleen changes, etc.

Method of preparation: Pour 2 teaspoons of the herb with 500 ml of hot water. Leave on for 30 minutes and strain. It is drunk in 3 equal parts the day before meals.
